sugarwood, you are probably the only person that would consider an otherwise stock 930 with no really special or unique distinguishing characteristics to it a unicorn, and it’s simply because it has 33k miles on the clock - strange. Just because the buyer paid 98k doesn’t somehow qualify the car as a unicorn, that just determined its selling price on that specific day, that is it.

If this car were listed for sale and in the ad it stated that it’s a unicorn, that would be absolutely hilarious, I’d actually think it was a joke. As anyone who knows what a unicorn really is in terms of the collector car world knows this 930 doesn’t deserve that kind of status. The guys buying and collecting rare (unicorn) Porsche’s know full well what a unicorn is, and this doesn’t even come close to qualifying.

Sh|t, this would be a driver 930 if it were in my collection. And I’m not alone, I’m sure many collections would be the same. Unicorn, as the term applies to collector cars, is intended to be used for much rarer cars than this one. If you choose to stretch the meaning of it, then that’s you and you alone.
