Ugh, I used to find pecans in the yard from time to time. The worst was when I'd find them a little late, maybe because they were hidden among other plants. I swear the roots on pecan anchor themselves in the core of the planet. And if you cut them off at the ground, they just keep coming back. It's amazing that the planet isn't overrun with pecan trees based on how hard it was to get rid of pecan sprouts/saplings.
