If they were to repair it they would need to have ordered new frame ($7-10k), new bed ($5k) and new leaf springs as a start. Then move all the components from the old truck over to the new frame. I told them NFW was I going to be waiting 1 1/2 - 2 months to have a truck repaired that had $25k in damage, they could keep it.
I found the exact same truck, fewer miles for around the cost of the buy out. Only problem is it's in Phoenix so fly out drive back. Oh well, road trip!
