Still have ours. Wife daily drove it into the ground for 5 years, then, I let it sit outside for a few years.
I sort of own it now, and have been tinkering with it again. It has been a really easy car to own. Mechanically, totally , typical BMW stuff from that era . Our interior is starting to look worn, but still not that bad, for a car that got treated like a minivan with a woman driving and no love given to it for a period .
It has become my fun road car for weekend stuff , and I still really love it. I am pretty sure this one is staying with us .
It was wrecked before, and the front clip painted. It is now really ugly, with clear coat peeling, Im hoping to re spray this spring before driving season .
Stock, plenty quick enough to be fun. Ours is lowered on sport bilsteins with big sway bars, and it is honestly, one of the best handling cars I have ever driven.
Even on sub par street tires, it is nearly impossible to make it come out of character.
My son and I road tripped it to the mountains last summer, and it was really an enjoyable drive .
