Most of these situations arise out of some kind of peer pressure and self esteem issues.

Insecurities.

Not sure how to address this other than perhaps more educational programming on TV and social media. Fat chance of that happening though when there's more money to be made when bad stuff happens.

Strange world but not when it's understood the almighty dollar rules everything else in most of our civilisation.
