Correct. Only U.S. '72 T's had MFI in an effort to meet our emissions requirements. There are plenty of references on this, from the Red Book to Bruce Anderson's 911 buyers' guides and so forth.
I do believe, however, that all '72's still had the small tank (60L) and full sized spare. I could be wrong on that, though, and they might have had the 80L either standard or as an option.
