No brand suggestions but like others have said watch the sugar.

I don't like Stevia, almost all of them use it as a sweetener.

Since you said no green stuff you better look for something with a healthy dose of fiber in it.

One of the main reasons they recommend eating green leafy vegetables is for the fiber, the fiber promotes good gut health.

Meaning the good bacteria in your body that helps you breakdown and process food out numbers the bad bacterial that causes inflammation, bloating and weight gain. The bad bacteria is fueled by processed sugar and cheap simple carbs.

Watch the carbs, carbohydrates break down into sugar quickly, you get an energy rush but get crazy insane hungry afterwords and end up eating more.

Protein fills you up and prevents hunger cravings.

You need just enough carbs to process the protein with, feed your brain energy (prevent brain fog) and help rebuild muscle tissue. It's not all about 100% protein, it's about balance, a balanced diet.

Please keep in mind that using most of these powders go against the simple single ingredient manta of health gurus that are against processed foods. The mantra says that if it the ingredients cannot be bought at the grocery store and you don't know what they are or cannot pronounce them, then do not put it into your body.

One of the main culprits of processed (bad) food is so-called emulsifiers or thickening agents. And breakfast power shakes are just full of them.

The Problem with Emulsifiers: Part 2

Quote:
They found that adding specific emulsifiers to the mice’s food alters the gut microbiota to induce intestinal inflammation. Once the mice stopped receiving these emulsifiers, their gut microbiota gradually returned to normal.

Researchers linked emulsifier-induced inflammation to the development of obesity, type-2 diabetes, cardiovascular and liver disease, and inflammatory bowel diseases like Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis.
Heard enough?

Yea, I remember drinking that too in about 5th or 6th grade in the summer, and I had to stop drinking it because by the time I got to the park/pool I was ready to faint and could not make it to lunch time.

I woke up early as a kid and had a high metabolism, plus was very active. I needed real food, a farmer's breakfast.
