I am all for moving to a place that is better than where you are leaving...but I do find it problematic when newcomers want to change the things that caused them (and those that preceded them) to mover there.
Personally, I really like living near a big city and all it offers...but, not a great big city. That said, I would not hesitate to go to the Denver area for a good opportunity (unlike NYC, SF, DC, etc.). Personally, I would prefer living/working at the edge of the city...maybe in Aurora or Littleton (if I could do so without a terrible commute).
We loved it there...but were young (maybe that makes a difference). Both kids were conceived there and the youngest was born there. We would have never left except Uncle Sam thought we needed to go overseas.
