Auction Results

There a lot of nice 911 and 912 cars at the Arizona Auctions this year. Only starting to look at some of the results but these two caught my eye for selling well below their reserves.

Black 1971 911 T Targa had a reserve of $90,000-110,000 and sold for only $64,400. I looked at the car and it showed ok and looked nice but was not presented very well and definitely did not look like a $100,000 car to me... although with some detailing it certainly could have. Whomever purchased this car could enjoy as is for a long while or do some very minor clean-up and have a very nice looking long nose targa.

1969 PORSCHE 912 OUTLAW 911R TRIBUTE had a reserve of $65,000-$85,000 and sold for 47,040. This car presented very well. Yes, it is technically a 912 but someone had spent a lot of money on a 911 engine, bumpers, sport seats, etc. and all the other goodies to build a nice looking hot rod. I can't help but think that this car on Bring A Trailer would have made $80,000 pretty easily if presented correctly. Someone got a lot fo car for the money here.
