Nascar or Nascrap...Big Business
In the Seattle Times business section in this last Sundays paper ran a sizeable story about the feasibility and economic benefits of building a Nascar racetrack and surrounding "village" consisting of motels and other support facilities modeled after a facility in Kansas. We already have a half decent road course track that also houses a drag strip which the NHRA already uses for their events.
We can only hope that what ever they decide to build that it is a road course versus the ever boring banked oval course. That way maybe there will be some other than Nascar races in this area, perhaps by CART, IRL or even ALMS.
