On a recent flight, I was seated in the window seat. Another man seated in the aisle seat told me his wife couldn't make the flight, so instead of cancelling her ticket, he did nothing so that the seat (between us) would remain open..for more room.
Just before the plane door was locked, here comes a guy that looked like Chumley. Of course, he wedges himself into the seat between us. He said he was flying stand-by and it was the only seat available.
The guy who didn't cancel his wifes ticket was not looking happy.
