They were much better than the CFLs.

Our kitchen had 6 recessed lights that put out so much heat I could feel it on my bald head! I swapped them with these type replacement LEDs. No heat and my wife (who is very particular about light) loves the light. We have since changed all the rest in our house. Love 'em.--Dave
