My wife of 22 years is a complete nerd girl and moderate workaholic. She has very little interest in participating in my hobbies. Luckily, like Jeff's, she works hard to gain enough understanding of my interests to have a conversation or share in my enthusiasm. We do share interest in horizontal refreshment, music, and movies, but nothing you'd call guy stuff.

My wife will stick her nose in an obscure history book and not come out for two days. I just kinda do what I want. If I say I'm going to Costa Rica for three days, she says, "Oh, are the waves big? Have fun". If I tell here I'm going on a golf trip she says, "Don't forget your sweater". She's never once asked me not to do something. Sometimes I wish we shared more interests, but it works for us.
