A stay indoor day as a kid and I would be building plastic models.

No radio/radar tower antenna on the PT boat, and is that a mortar deck gun?
I think earlier models had the full crows nest / birds nest and a rubber raft on the bow deck or maybe a machine gun (standing position). It was so long ago, I do not remember.
EDIT: Wikipedia to the rescue.

The day before her final mission, PT-109's crew lashed a U.S. Army 37 mm antitank gun to the foredeck (front), replacing a small, two-man life raft. Timbers used to secure the weapon to the deck later helped save their lives when used as a float – although given the events that occurred, the original life raft would have been more useful, conserving the energy of injured crew members, and providing both flares and food, essential for survival.[5][6]

No mention of the communication tower, but they had a radio and single whip antenna it appears form the drawing (
do not see in photo), no radar though.

Motorized, I never got those copper winding ones to work, the pre-assembled motors lived on to power other models.
