It seems that women are better at thinking/organizational jobs than physical hands on (blue collar) type of jobs. (kind of obvious). Of course there are always the small percentage that cross over easily, but I've seen a huge difference on how men and women act/react in the cockpit. As a generalization, most men do much better when the flight profile goes out of the normal box. (and don't get me started on the fact that they get preferential hiring.)
