Thanks Wayne,
yes, its very simular to turbos and belt driven superchargers, albeit the eRAM is only playing in the 1psi range, or 5% gain area.
when we are racing on a road course, for which this device was developed, we realized that you are only full throttle for less than 15 seconds at a time , on most all tracks. (there are some that are more, and some that are less) At laguna seca, we saw less than 50 seconds of full throttle from our telemetry system for a 1:40.xx lap. all the other times are braking and coming off turns.
10hp for $300 was probably the cheapest HP we have put on the car, and we have done it all.
headers,
exhaust
cams
intake
throttle body
fuel regs
larger displacement
bigger valves, increased compression
etc etc.
am i forgetting anything? anyway, if you have done any of the mods before, you know what they cost . Ask any R5 POC racer what they would pay for a solid 10hp on their 3.2 liter 911. trust me, they alll spend a lot more for a lot less!!
