After hip #2 is done, have your limb length assessed and put a lift in shoe as indicated.
Standing up putting the socks on might not be such a great idea if you have a total hip.
Good advice regarding doing things you find difficult to do.
Dad has some knee problems, exacerbated by obesity. I suggested he walk around the block. He confesses he might not make it home, so I suggest go to the corner and back, still reluctant, as it is hard to walk. I asked if there was ever anything that was hard for him to do, where he did less of it and got better. "That is crazy, how could that work?"

BTW-Most sports injuries are secondary to a lack of flexibility, in my experience.
