That is just a "bonus" this year.
We finished 2018 with the 5th or 6th wettest year on record, and we are still getting above average moisture so we are all happy. The farmers love the snow. It brings nitrogen to the soil, and as it melts most of the moisture stays in the field.
I hear California is way above normal for the year. Hopefully they got to fill up some lakes and did not drain it all out to the ocean.
