Just some ramblings below............
I have a few that remain on the bucket list so I can finally say I watched them:
Brazil / Schindler's List / Dune / Barry Lyndon / Spartacus / Paths of Glory
For those that have seen Dune, does it seem like a David Lynch movie at all? I sense no.
I watched the 2005 Serenity movie the other night. Made it halfway thru before I conked out. Saw it once before. It ain't bad at all though, for sci-fi, and I like the girl that was interested in Animal Mother from Full Metal Jacket. (Far left two in flipper's pic)
My take it was a well done and watchable lower budget film which would make sense vs a big Spielberg monstro-hit film.
However, did some Wiki sniffing and Raiders was made for under $20 million in 1981 (release). Serenity $40 million in 2005. Inflation calculator says the spends are even, plus or minus.

I'm in the same boat with certain movies. Finally watched Schindler's List a couple weeks ago - very very long - but really good and worth the effort.
Tonight watching "Romancing the Stone" on Ovation (cable). Have seen it a bunch of times but love it so much will keep watching when it comes on. Might be the best Michael Douglas movie ever and who doesn't like Kathleen "Body Heat" Turner back when she was smokin' hawt!
