You are working . Everything is just fine. Along comes joe jack know it all , know nothing. Starts to question why you are doing it a certain way. Tells you how he would do it, or how his uncle does it. Stops, or slows you from doing what you could do with your eyes closed , and then gets you involved in a dissertation about why his way is better.
Tells you what tools you need, and how they will make your job easier.
Meanwhile, he has never done it, only watched someone else do it, or read about it on the internet. Yet, you have done it your whole life .
I just had a guy walk in this morning while I was struggling to get some 10 ply truck tires to seat on big fat rims.
He keeps telling me I need to strap them, need to ether them. My way wont work.. His Dad always did them this way..... I got them on in 20 minutes, the same way I do it every time ,right after he left .
We have a guy at the rentals, who I am sending home first thing in the morning. I simply cannot work around or with him ever again. I will not.
he did this to me all weekend last week. he actually corrected the way, I was nailing a temporary 2x4 to the wall. So, not only is he not getting the work done he is supposed to , he is also holding me up from doing my job , all the while making me really angry by arguing with me.
I found myself arguing with him at least 5 times, while working on my own house doing stuff that I regularly do without any hassles .
There is nothing I love more than working with a true pro, and learning and watching how they do it. Really appreciate it when they are proud of their craft, and like to share with me .
There is nothing I hate more than working with a know it all , all talky, no worky guy.
I'm sure you all know one .
