I have a bunch of ex-work buddies who are in their late 30's and they constantly barraged me about my age related low testosterone (I'm 54 now but they were heckling me hard about a year ago via text message because they are in SoCal and I now live in Cincinnati). I started reading everything I could find about it online (mens fitness magazine etc.) and convinced myself that it was now impossible to "get bigger" so I stopped working out and just did 45 min-60 min of treadmill 5 or 6 days per week (up to 15 degrees elevation).
During my annual physical I had them check for T. The doctor said that I have very healthy levels of T. I pressed and he said, "like a teenager"(to make his point). I got the number and went online. I feel like an idiot for listening to my friends.
The reason I wasn't seeing "gains" is because I was lazy.
I have been back on my bowflex for 6 months and feel great.
I hate young people.
