My sister bought a Honda mini-van, new, 5 years ago. It is now having an issue where paint from all over the vehicle is starting to crack and peel. I know nothing about paint and body work. I'll do anything mechanical, but the last car I painted was a college car in 1986.

Again, she bought this new 5 years ago. Looks to me like an adhesion issue with the primer. It is occurring on the outside of the car as well as inside, so it seems like it isn't some sort of light induced degradation.

Or do you think this was possibly damage repaired before the car was sold?
