That's her point exactly. Also, she says so if he verbally or physically abuses you once when your dating is that OK? How about twice, or three times? What do you think will happen when your married and financially dependent on him? Self esteem is a big part of it. The girl lets the boy do it because she believes she can't get anyone else.
