I have done several small spots. Sand, prep the area. Get a really good color match. This is very important. Mask everything you don't want over spray on....... Prime. Sand. Prime again. I like my primer prep to look like finished work. Paint. Light coats. Let dry adequately. Clear.
My cars has several spots that are impossible to find now. I clayed the car then applied a sealant.
