Ahh, sweet release!

No, not that kind...
Cubital Tunnel Release surgery. Just had it yesterday.

Cubital Tunnel Release Surgery | Ulnar Nerve Entrapment | Fort Wayne, IN

This was the 3rd and final surgery for this winter. I wanted to get it out of the way so I'd be up and running for the coming summer. I had my left toe joint replaced in October, the right one replaced in January, and now this nerve repositioning.
The Cubital Tunnel Syndrome was only annoying at first, but got progressively worse over the course of about 6 months. At first I lost some pinching strength between my left thumb and forefinger and my fingers would occasionally try to violently bend themselves backwards. Hurt like hell. I would have to grab them with my other hand and pull them back straight. By last week my thumb was throbbing all the time, and when I relaxed my arm and hand my thumb and forefinger would twitch and move around on their own, like I had Alien Hand syndrome. The pinky on my left hand was alternately tingling and numb. The doc said the muscles in my hand were going to atrophy if I didn't get something done soon. He told me the surgery was quick and easy, but I wouldn't have full use of my arm and hand for about a week afterwards. I said what the heck, I can do without sex for a week, let's get 'er done. 24 hours after the surgery my hand isn't jumping around like a fish out of water and I feel MUCH better.
