Wow, that's really harsh. Up here in Canada we don't get arrested for traffic violations - unless it's drunk driving or you caused a serious accident. I was ticketed years ago for racing on the street - I think the cop called it reckless driving and all I got was points (a few more than a regular ticket) and the fine that goes along with the points. There's no traffic school up here either - at least not in the west.
