Need to replace timing chain
I am new to the forum and to the Porsche world.
This is a 1974 911S 2.7L. I took it to the shop to do a "top end" rebuild, as one cylinder was damaged and a valve was bent.
Everything looks good on the "bottom end" of the engine, but the shop is recommending to change the timing chain because it has a "clip" and is not original. Although the chain is a good shape, is it necessary to change it just because of the "clip"?
