As expected my report from WebMD:
The most common signs and symptoms of obstructive and central sleep apneas include:
Loud snoring
Episodes in which you stop breathing during sleep — which would be reported by another person
Gasping for air during sleep
Awakening with a dry mouth
Morning headache
Difficulty staying asleep (insomnia)
Excessive daytime sleepiness (hypersomnia)
Difficulty paying attention while awake
Irritability
From that list I have only #1
I'm 62 and other wise in pretty good health.
I am about 20 pounds over weight and have a bad habit of taking a 'nightcap' both of which exasperate the problem.
Trust me my wife is leading the charge on 'get to a sleep Dr!' but as I said I don't see me being able to sleep under the conditions I have seen/heard of... not sure how much help a sleep test is if you can't get to sleep.
