Hmmm. I'm not sure that's fair. I think people need to separate the man (this doesn't just apply to Axl) from his art.
A lot of our great writers / artists / musicians / free-thinkers / actors were / are / have been real weird-os / dicks / perverts etc.
There never will be a perfect human being that will stand up to absolute scrutiny without lacking somewhere for someone. We just have to accept people for what they bring to enrich those around them.
Say what you will about Axl Rose's personality but you cannot deny that his music gave (and still gives) a lot of pleasure to a lot of people. You cannot please all the people all of the time (you all know the words) but so long as you're pleasing some people some of the time then I guess you're doing well.
