When it came time to get rid of a toy, I had a 550HP Mazda RX7 and a 1980 Porsche 911 with a 3.6 swap.

I was also a member of the Mazda Motorsports program which entitled me to 50% off many parts for my car. Which were already reasonable and were now being stolen.

Needless to say it was a no brainer to sell the 911.

Then several years later I sold the RX7 for close to what I sold the 911 for.

Oh, funny story, I was taking the 911 in for a PPI when the rear right brake caliper froze up right as I was getting to the shop. I told them to replace it and I would pay.

$600 part with $300 labor.

Never regretted selling that car, while I miss it I hated the premium paid for parts and service.
