I agree, but with a caveat. This is only really true on air-cooled cars. On water-cooled cars, (particularly the 996 and Boxster), the coolant slowly seeps into the oil it the car sits for a long time. So, the oil gets contaminated just doing nothing.
But the air-cooled cars don't really deteriorate...
