Root Beer Tapper -- OMFG I played that game for hours! You just got into the zone and your eyes didn't even focus any more.
Dig Dug was a blast also. There was another game I had for the ][e that involved drilling and having to retract the drill to avoid the enemies -- wow, too many bourbons separate me and my youth to remember the name of it, but it was another basic, monochrome game that was a whole lot of fun.
I played a ton of Tai Pan, until it got to the point where my one ship was up against more vessels than had ever existed in all armadas in history, combined.
I have a lot of fun nowadays on PopCap -- SevenSeas, Atomica, etc. Just simple, entertaining games. Crap, I can waste 30 minutes on
SFCave at any given moment -- I have earned my handle.
