Taking the E30 on a 700 mile road trip to Wilmington NC and back. Had some small nagging items that needed sorting and I wanted to go over her once good before the trip next week. She was due for a oil change so I did that too.
The fan for the HVAC was only running on 4 sometimes, other times it would work fine. This is the culprit.
Swapped cars make everything harder. The part I needed to change is inside the fire wall under the windshield wipers. There are 4 screws holding the cover in place. One screw was right behind the swapped engine, all I could fit in there was some needle nose pliers and a socket locked in the jaws. It took me about 30 minutes of cursing to get the screw out. I did not put it back in.
I also installed a new strut brace that I bought and never put on, I had a cheap one on there from when I first purchased it.
I also fiddles with the new headlight assemblies I installed, the headlights needed adjusting and I finally figured out how to do that.
BTW - That 60's Rocket slide was instant nostalgia, I remember climbing in those when I was a little kid. Coolest thing I have ever seen.
