I'm having a debate at work about an upcoming Wedding shower for a co-worker.

I personally hate going to Wedding showers or baby showers. This particular invite came with details about all the games that will be played. I don't want to go to this one as I really need a day to myself; been working every weekend for a couple of months but I'm being shamed by my peers. I have no problem sending a nice gift.

I prefer the old way; Wedding Showers are for Chicks, Bachelorette Parties are for Chicks, Bachelor Parties are for dudes + Stripper.

Any Opinions.

Correction - I've been told to stop calling this a bridal shower - it's a wedding shower. To me; same thing (changed my verbiage above).
