Yep it works.
I read a book called "getting past No"
It's not a dating book it's about getting places in business and at work.
You say a mutrally agreeable yes type things. Saying something like "I'm loving this great weather..." A few more of these to put everything on a yes, and a positive spin. Then spring it on them.
