Welcome to the forum! I wondered when we'd see that car again, it's too bad Jeff couldn't keep it.

He and I were in touch off and on and I know he's a busy guy. A project like this is awfully time consuming.

Have fun with the project most of all. Take care of any surface rust and get some epoxy primer on that bare metal before you do anything else. My advice to Jeff was to take it from its current state and get it running and driving even in primer, mostly so he could enjoy and build up some motivation.

Pulling the motor is easy and will make it a lot easier to clean.
