Coming back from Monterey, CA through the
lovely parts of California like Boron and Barstow and the topper, Needles, the temp was 118. The AC on my 911 struggled a bit. I had been driving most of the day and the car was in full sun all that time of course. Going into Kingman, AZ it cooled way off to just over 105. The AC was back to where I had to turn it back down some.
Actually I think Boron, CA is the ugliest, nastiest place I have ever been. 90% of the traffic was heavy trucks, and no sign of anything green at all. Just drown dirt and rocks everywhere. The areas in Utah with no vegetation at all were barren, but they had a natural look to them. Boron is all just man mad ugly with nature helping out to make it ugly.
