My wife and I drove from Maryland to St. Stephen last year to pick up a trailer and two of these things:
We are redesigning the body for the company.
Anyway. We took I-95 north and thought we would enjoy the coastal route scenery so we got off 95 and took Rte 1 north at Brunswick.
The road was enjoyable, sort of - trees block any real view but the small towns are neat. We were under a bit of a time crunch so we didn't take any side trips.
We decided to take Route 46 north at Orland to Route 9. Much more enjoyable vistas as the elevation and scenery changes.
We stayed in Calais and met the Hoot folks in Saint Stephen. Saint Stephen is a cool place and we wish we would have stayed there.
That is as far as we went and turned around the next day. We took Route 9 all the way into Bangor and enjoyed it more than the coastal route.
Halifax is a wonderful city, btw. I spent time there with the RCAF and Navy and did two Air Shows at Shearwater.
