You've got it all wrong - I don't own Ed, Ed owns me. I'm terrified of that beast.
I was checking in to the doctor's office about a month ago. We've probably all had to fill out that form that asks you if you feel safe in your own home and all of that. So, for that part of it, I answered "no". The form says "if 'no', please explain". So I wrote down "it's Ed...". So, of course, the doctor had to ask me who this "Ed" is, and what he does to make me feel unsafe, or to threaten me. So I explained. She just laughed. She has no idea what my life is like...
