With the embed, the video can be viewed directly on the forum post.
With the link - you have to go to the YT site to view it.
Both are perfectly fine as far as I'm concerned. I just like the embed for convenience sake.

My method uses the "embed code" pasted into the "link" button....yours uses the site address copied into the "link" button.
To obtain the "embed code" right click on the video while it's playing, select "copy embed code", then paste that into the link button.
