Zenith carbs can be made to run very well. There is a great thread on here with an owner who did lots of air fuel ratio testing. Using that info I rebuilt my Zeniths with larger venturi and new jets. A bit of dyno time to dial it in and my 2.2 runs better than I ever imagined. Just takes a bit of time and effort and not much $$ compared to most P car mods.
