Location: Placerville, CA.... You know, the only place on Highway 50 between Sacramento and Lake Tahoe the you find signal lights. Above the fog most of the time and I can see the stars of the Milky Way 8 out of 10 nights. Kinda cool.....

I've gotten hundreds of uses from it.

The fact I'm filling it back up can only mean one thing... adventure time draws near!
Planning a Bike/Hike up in (where else) the North Cascades with my Son, his best buddy and maybe a BIL this weekend.

Here it is delivering another batch of hot H2o for coffee and breakfast about a week ago. It makes the best "helicopter at full rip" sound whilst running

Hey Skip,

That’s fantastic. I have that exact same stove and wouldn’t replace it for the world. Got it in the early 80’s when my dad, brother and I were doing the BP thing. Great memories hitting the Sierras, coast, Grand Canyon, etc. Truly a timeless and efficient design. I see that you have the upper sleeve for yours, I’m searching for one for ours. I have the “cook kit” that I use and store it in but the smaller sleeve would be great for quick trips.

Worked it’s way around our Boy Scout trips and would get everyone’s attention with the distinct burner roar.

Have a great trip, I’m envious!! Your trip makes more and adds to your great trip permit pics in your targa back on the 22nd.

Cheers
