I catch and clean my own fish and birds (pheasant, quail) but haven't cleaned and gutted a deer or similar animal, wouldn't be a problem.
I was close to taking a hog butchering class but got busy and never did it. I don't think it would become a regular thing due to time and storage involved, just more info on buying and preparing good meat. I have made sausage and bacon, sure beats the store bought stuff.
