Finally got around to getting a new flag up on my flag pole. Ended up replacing everything except the pole. Excellent investment as I can't remember the last time I felt the sense of patriotism I did tonight after I got her back up.
I had to buy a carriage bolt and coupler nut to accommodate the addition of the light. I opted for an eagle vs. the gold ball that seems to be the default. That's what I had before anyway.
Sprayed everything down with a corrosion inhibitor.
