Strong resistance from my daughter, the boy has told her that he fears his mom may say something offensive to me/my wife. We are puzzled, it would seem strange for a stranger to insult you in this setting. We suspected that the mom was a drunk, had Tourettes, was a horder etc. We held firm in our request to at least acquire the phone of the mom to exchange texts with the mom.

My daughter finally came clean. Come to find out the mom is not a drunk but a racist. The Hispanic mom didn't want her son dating a white girl. The mom knows my kids race but they were afraid to intro the parents because the mom's racist views.

We laughed it off. What can you do? I told my kid we were getting our MAGA hats and "Build the Wall" t shirts and going to the boys house to get him for the movies.

People never ceases to amaze.
