It's not just race, try dating an Italian / Jewish / Asian etc.... person when you are not whatever that that is.

Every Sunday at his moms. Men playing cards, women in the kitchen cooking a huge meal. Kids kicked out doors.

Same routine over and over.

If you are not raised in it then you almost can't adjust.
