Several years ago, before the "Grand Tour", we all sat around and bemoaned on a certain p-car forum how their Top Gear antics were getting long in the tooth.
I think it is absolutely amazing they were able to get several more years of good laughs out of Grand Tour.
It's one of the few shows my wife and I could tune in and both laugh until it hurt, even if it was somewhat staged.
Good for them! Job well done.
It was also interesting reading how Jeremy Clarkson was really upset about his original Top Gear departure. The show obviously really meant a lot to him.
I think at this point, My wife and I could equally watch an "After Grand Tour/Top Gear" series where these specific three old farts sit around in a hot tub, reminisce, and pull each other's fingers and cringe at the power of each other's impacted fart bubbles as they rise to the surface of the cauldron. It was in the end- good chemistry.
