On the popup 10x10 tents, keep the legs splayed inwards a bit and it will put more dome in the top which helps with the rain. Also, put some weight on/near each leg (folks that do farmers markets, etc... hang a kettle bell, dumbell cinder block, etc...) from each corner and that helps with the wind. Also, if you aren't working on the car, then retract the legs to the lowest setting you can without touching the car and that will help.
