I grew up near Eglin AFB. There was a monument to Doolittle in Valparaiso, Fl which was moved to the Air Force Museum on hwy 85 just outside Ft Walton Beach. I was always told that out on the Eglin reservation there was an area called "Little Tokyo" where they practiced the raid. Growing up there where I did, when we lived in Valparaiso our house was directly in the flight pattern for one of the runways and I learned to identify many types of aircraft, great place to grow up!!!
