Exactly. What if there was a zombie apocalypse, (or some other rare emergency), and your kid had to drive some random old truck to save their life? And they could not do it? I just imagine all kinds of weird circumstances where someone has to drive someone else's car in an emergency and it's a manual. Essential life skill, IMO.
